The resignation from the plan to introduce Covid certificates in England is quite surprising, because just a week ago, one of Javid’s deputy, Vaccination Deputy Minister Nadim Zahawi, said the exact opposite – that he would not only need to enter nightclubs, Which has been announced for a long time, but also for other mass events.

Withdrawal from vaccine certificate only applies to England. Scottish officials confirmed on Friday they would be required to return to nightclubs and mass events from 1 October.

In an interview with Sky News, Javid said that the need for PCR testing should not be sustained for longer than necessary. – We have multiple lines of defense and of course we still want to be very careful and there are some things – when it comes to travel, for example – that have to be enforced. But the PCR test which is required when I return to the UK from some countries – I want to try to get rid of it as soon as possible,’ he said.

He indicated that he did not intend to take this decision yet, but had already asked officials to investigate the possibility of taking on such an obligation.
