Kim Kardashian West has joined the fight against the coronavirus pandemic by launching a series of face masks.

The underwear brand of 39-year-old reality star Skims has released a line of non-medical masks designed to be worn all day. Just like undergarments, reusable masks are seamless, breathable and elastic.

The masks were launched on Saturday in five tonal colors: sand, clay, Sienna, cocoa and onyx, with prices starting at $ 8.

Kardashian West arrived on Twitter a few hours after the launch of the new product to inform fans that the collection was out of stock.

“Unfortunately our @skims face masks were sold today, but we are working with a local partner in Los Angeles to produce as quickly as possible,” he said to his 64 million followers.

Skims, founded by Kardashian West last year, is donating 10,000 masks to Baby2Baby, Good + Foundation and LA Food Bank nonprofit organizations and to the defense group of the National Domestic Workers Alliance.

The company said it is also working to support people affected by Covid-19 by providing the basic essentials to families at risk and the needy, with a $ 1 million donation to distribute among these charities.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, nearly 1.5 million coronavirus cases have been recorded in the United States and the death toll is close to 90,000.
