Non-essential stores, hairdressers, pubs – but only outside – and museums will have to wait until April 12. Movies, hotels, stadiums (with a maximum of 10,000 people), hotels and restaurants (indoors) will run on May 17, the day members of different houses can meet indoors.
If health conditions prevail, the ban on social contacts will be lifted at the earliest on 21 June, as telecom will dictate.
According to the Prime Minister, any decision to relax the restrictions will be taken based on scientific data at their disposal, such as the effectiveness of Kovid’s vaccines, the decline in hospitals and the presence of new variants.
Facing the severe economic impact of the epidemic, Boris Johnson has promised to continue supporting jobs, saying the measures will be detailed when the budget is presented on 3 March.
