On the day of Makar Sankranti, 10 million people from all over the world will do Surya Namaskar. It will start from Japan and in other countries including India, there will be Surya Namaskar at 7 am. This information was given by Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in a press conference held virtually.

This time Sonowal said, this year is the nectar festival of India’s independence. At least 75 lakh people were expected to participate in the Surya Namaskar campaign on Makar Sankranti day on that occasion, but the campaign received an overwhelming response from all over the world and now there are indications of 10 million people joining the campaign. .

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH said that there are eight seats in the sun mask. Pranams are done by controlling the breath, so it is a type of yoga practice. The program is scientifically designed and is available on the website of the Ministry. The preparations for the global Surya Namaskar program to be held on January 14 have been completed. Surya Namaskar program would be more appropriate in the current Kovid period. For this, many organizations like Yoga Institute of India, National Yoga Sports Federation, Yoga Certification Board, Fit India are collaborating.
