Oracle moves headquarters from Silicon Valley to Texas

Oracle announced that it has moved its headquarters to headquarters in Stin, Texas, becoming the latest tech company to exit the San Francisco Bay Area. Bloomberg First reported Friday.

There is no state income tax in Texas, while California, by contrast, is known for high taxes and strict regulatory policies.

What they are saying: An Oracle spokesperson said: “We believe this move is the best position for Oracle to grow and provide our employees with more flexibility about where and how they operate.” CNBC.

• The company also said it allows most employees to choose what they want to work from the office, or if they continue to work from home.
