Police have shared a CCTV footage of the person they want to talk to after a butchers stole a Remembrance Day pop collection box from them this weekend.
On Saturday (November) morning, a man went to a butcher’s shop on Mill Lane in West Derby and took a pot of popping funds for the poppy appeal, reports Liverpool Echo.
Officers investigating the theft have released a CCTV photo of the man, who they believe could help with their interrogation.
The incident happened at 9.30am on Saturday.
Police described the suspect as a white man with black hair and black framed glasses over his head.
He wore a dark winter coat over a gray top with a motif.

The theft happened just days before Merseyside and the rest of the UK stopped this morning to commemorate the fall with social distance and virtual tributes across the country.
A wreath-laying ceremony was held at London’s Cenotaph this morning, but it was closed to the public for the first time in a century due to a coronavirus epidemic. Only 150 troops were able to take part.
