Qatar Saudi Arabia diplomatic conflict: Saudi Arabia, UAE forget ties
Doha: Forgetting past fights, Saudi Arabia and UAE are coming closer to Qatar. Saudi Arabia has already started efforts for this, but both countries are preparing to strengthen ties. Even after the lifting of sanctions against Qatar, UAE-Qatar relations have not yet returned to normal. But for this, strict steps have been taken by the UAE.

Saudi-Qatar Coordinating Committee was established

The Coordination Committee was formed as part of further warming up the bilateral ties between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The new initiative aims to work hand in hand to make Saudi Vision 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030 possible. The decision was taken during a meeting between Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Saudi Acting Foreign Minister Museed bin Mohammed Al Aliban in the Saudi city of Neom. The two signed an updated protocol for the formation of the Qatar-Saudi Coordination Committee.

It will be led by the Emir of Qatar and the Saudi Crown Prince.

The coordination committee will be chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The committee will include senior leaders and officials from both the countries. Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud said relations between Saudi Arabia and Qatar were “very warm”. Qatar appointed an ambassador to Riyadh yesterday as part of the official launch of Saudi-Qatar diplomatic relations after four years. The Saudi ambassador to Qatar was appointed two months ago.

UAE leaders arrive in Doha

Meanwhile, a delegation led by UAE National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahanoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Qatar as part of strengthening ties with Qatar. The delegation also met the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at Amiri Diwan. The delegation congratulated the Emir of the rulers of the UAE and wished him health and well-being. According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting decided to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The meeting also decided to further enhance trade and trade relations between the two countries.

New chapter in relation to each other

Dr Abdullah Al-Hashimi, Advisor to the Ruler of the UAE, said that the UAE delegation’s visit to Doha will open a new chapter in the relationship between the two countries. Commented by Anwar Gargash. “This will be a new bridge of cooperation between friendly countries,” he said on Twitter.

In 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt announced sanctions against Qatar, breaking ties between the two countries. The restrictions were lifted at the GCC summit in January this year.
