The Queen arrived at her summer residence at Balmoral Castle in Scotland last Thursday evening, May 26, 2022, British “Daily Mail” reports. She will spend a week there to relax and prepare for the anniversary weekend. The main multi-day celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee begins on June 2 with the Trooping the Color Parade.

Due to her limited mobility, the Queen has had to make do without a few appearances over the past few weeks. Earlier this month, Her Majesty missed the opening of Parliament for the first time in 59 years, forcing 73-year-old Prince Charles and 39-year-old Prince William to co-chair the event on the Queen’s behalf. However, the monarch has attended some public events this month, including the Windsor Horse Show, the Platinum Anniversary Celebrations in Windsor and the opening of the Elizabethan Tube Line.
