After the postponement of the ‘A’ international match against England, all the Scotland team and coaching staff have isolated themselves.

Scotland canceled their match against Romania on 10 July after it was confirmed that “several members” of their players’ team tested positive for COVID-19.

Mark Dodgson, general manager of Scottish Rugby, said: “The well-being of the players is paramount in every decision we make as an organization, and unfortunately we have little time for our players to recover and train properly for the match against Romania. Has run out of time.

“We are obviously disappointed, and I feel a lot for our group of players and our management as well as the Romanian Rugby Federation, but the health and well-being of our team must come first.

“We still intend to face Georgia next week, subject to further medical examinations and tests, and we expect to be in a position where a substantial part of the squad can resume a training program . Progressive next time. Weeks.”
