Scotland will begin their Six Nations campaign next year with a home game against England.
They would then play at home to Wales and France before finishing two away games against Italy and Ireland. All their matches will be played on Saturday and opening dates are yet to be announced.
The side of Gregor Townsend – who also kicked off this year’s tournament with a Calcutta Cup match, but at Twickenham – will welcome England to Murrayfield on Saturday 5 February. Ireland will play in Wales on the same afternoon, while France will take on Italy at the Stade de France on Sunday. Three matches will be played on Sunday, while one match – Wales against France in the fourth round – will take place on Friday.
Next year’s match schedule will follow a familiar pattern: the first two rounds on two consecutive weekends, such as the last two, while preceding the third round and one week off. Although the current state of the epidemic means that it is too early to find out how full the stadiums are, tournament organizers are hoping that 2022 will look somewhat similar to normal after spectators are banned this year.
Six-year-old Ben Morrell said: “We look forward to next year’s tournament and hope that things will return to normal when we can welcome back to the stadium and the unmatched Guinness Six Nations in the world’s lounges, bars and clubs Can bring atmosphere. “.
