Before the setback against Hart of Midlothian this Saturday, Steven Gerrard provided an update on injuries to his squad.

At the start of the pre-match press conference, the Light Blues manager took stock of the injured players in his group. Steven Gerrard also spoke about the physical and mental form of his group. The Ibrox boss said: “Kemar Roof is recovering. We hope it will be available soon but will definitely miss today’s training session. As far as Ryan Kent is concerned, he is very close to a comeback and we hope he resumes training after this weekend,” suggested Steven Gerrard.

“All the international players have come back fit and healthy. We have a fantastic scientific, medical and sports team that liaises with countries and players after every match for their mental and physical well-being, as it is our duty of care. We are looking for a stable team to regain the momentum. The Light Blues manager said it was unrealistic to expect the same 11 to be played in every game.
