SCOTLAND – TRANSFER: Liam Kelly returns to Motherwell on course

Écosse – Transfert : Liam Kelly revient définitivement à Motherwell

As we announced last Sunday, Liam Kelly has been permanently transferred to Motherwell. The 25-year-old joins the Oranges from Queens Park Rangers on a three-season contract.

Liam Kelly returned to Motherwell to be there until June 2024. The goalkeeper spent the second half of the 2020-2021 campaign on loan at the club. This signing is a realization after confirming his talent at this club.

“It is great to have Liam back with us and even better that he is our player now. It has been a long process. But the board of directors has been patient and supported us as we work to secure the deal. We all saw Liam’s strengths last season. I know how much he enjoyed his time with us before. His abilities, professionalism and dynamism have made us better again. Everyone is happy to see him in a Motherwell shirt again,” said manager Graham Alexander of the signing.

It should be noted that last season, Liam Kelly was voted player of the season for the Motherwell club. In 21 matches, the young Scottish goalkeeper has managed to keep his clean sheet 7 times. Liam Kelly will take on the club’s No. 1 jersey on Tuesday and resume training with his teammates. His move is pending before the international authority.
