It was loud again in the stadium – but not for long. After the free kick, the ball happily came to Munas Dabbar and the former Salzburg resident again gave Israel the lead from close range (31st). Again the Scots had to run after the deficit, but left a huge opportunity to make it 2-2 just before the break whistle. Lyndon Dykes wanted to swiftly shoot a foul penalty in the middle of the goal, but keeper Ophir Marciano just stayed and was able to parry.
After the break, fans witnessed angry attacks from the hosts. And Dykes should take his second chance. He pushed the ball over the line keeping one leg straight. The referee initially did not score a goal, but after a VAR check the draw was correct (55th). Despite the oppressive superiority, it took until stoppage time for the Scots to right the home win. Scott McTominay scored in the 94th minute.
