The Glasgow Rangers were crowned Scottish Football champions for the first time since 2011, with their great rival Celtic playing a 0–0 draw at Dundee, having won the previous nine titles.
Following their victory (3–0) against Saint-Miren on Saturday, only one point was missing for the team coached by iconic Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard to secure the trophy.
By winning the draw in Dundee, Celtic Glasgow found themselves to play six games with 20 points and therefore could no longer hold them.
The title is the crown of a season in which the Rangers remain undefeated. He has won 28 of his 32 games, including all 16 at home.
It is also a return to the top of the most successful club in Scottish history (55 titles), nine years after his realization and an administrative demotion that brought him into the fourth division.
The club was remodeled, allowing Englishman Steven Gerrard to start and launch his coaching career in 2018.
The Scottish Premiership title is the first trophy won by Gerrard as a coach, following a busy playing career with Liverpool (1 Champions League, 1 UEFA Cup, 2 FA Cup and 3 League Cups).
On Saturday, the match against Saint-Miren led to scenes of jubilee following the players’ reception and victory at Ibrox Park, disregarding the containment measures decided by the Scottish Government to fight against Kovid-19.
