meNata but the stentorian, Nicola Sturgeon, is now Britain’s second political figure, essentially Boris Johnson. The December 12, 2019 elections landed the 49-year-old political warrior and his SNP party in protest against the overwhelming strength of disgruntled Boris, crowning the country’s new king in the wake of the Bulgarian Plebiscite. The day after the United Kingdom map elections, Scotland had the same yellow spot instead: an allegiance to the SNP, the Independence Party and one who strongly wants to remain within the European Union.

To resist but similar
With the Labor Party apocalypse, the secular opposition to conservatives, and the disappearance of Scotland’s leading ectoplasmic Jamie Corbyn, the first woman in history to hold double office, Johnson’s arch rival in Westminster. But to show that Heraclitus hit the mark, attesting to the identity of the protests two thousand and five hundred years ago, the two enemies are much more similar to the frequent insults in the newspapers.

Both invoke decision-making power and autonomy from a central, oppressive and bureaucratic authority. What Boris did in Brussels, Sturgeon claimed against London. The list of arguments is similar to Brexit fanatics: we want our fate back, we want to choose our future and not others. Which is not surprising for a party that also has the word “national” in its name.

Split scotland
But even when it comes to independence, the yellow space is not so compact: Scotland is now divided into two. Glasgow, the Premier’s hometown, is a stronghold of separatists, Edinburgh, the seat of local government, does not want to leave Great Britain. And in turn, the electorate of Scotland’s first party is also divided into two: not all separatists want to join the European Union; And all the rest do not want to leave Britain. A new vote is needed. It is easy to say from an election stand. Because the London government has no intention of giving a new vote. The third way can be a constitutional right but a unilateral referendum, ie decided only by Scotland. Catalonia’s loom looms. And a second audience roams the highlands: that of Greece. But without Euro: Freedom yes, but keeping precious pounds.

Scotland, Sturgeon calls in London for referendum on independence

Prime Minister, is the flag of Braveheart flying again in Scotland?
Scotland did not choose Brexit. The country voted for the remainder in the referendum. And in the last elections, my SNP party that did not want to leave the European Union was voted the most. On the other hand our country finds itself out of the EU against its will. There is a lack of democracy.
