Over the weekend, protesters gathered in London, Berlin and Auckland, among other cities, to protest the police brutality in solidarity with the United States crowd.
Some participants marched to the American embassy in the Nine Helm area of the capital.
Germany
Crowds gathered in Berlin outside the American embassy on Saturday and Sunday. The participants wore face masks and carried signs with the inscription “The life of black people counts” and “Justice cannot wait”.
Denmark
The song of “no justice, no peace” was heard on the streets of Copenhagen on Sunday, while protesters marched for Floyd’s death. Some gathered outside the American embassy in the Danish capital.
Italy
In Milan, the crowd held a flashmob near the city’s American consulate on Thursday.
New Zeland
Protests over Floyd’s killing took place Monday in several locations in New Zealand. Thousands of people held demonstrations and vigils in places like Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Canada
Several protests also took place in Canada over the weekend, while the crowd gathered against the alleged police brutality.
On Saturday, protesters in Toronto sang slogans associated with the Back Lives Matter movement.
And on Sunday, thousands of people gathered in Vancouver in a show of solidarity with US protesters.
Further international demonstrations are expected in the coming days, as unrest in the United States continues over Floyd’s death.
At least three demonstrations have been scheduled in multiple Australian cities. One is scheduled for Tuesday in Sydney, one Saturday in Brisbane and one Saturday in Melbourne,
