Xi Jinping Told Vladimir Putin China Russia Are Better Than Allies: Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have a virtual meeting amid ongoing tensions with the US. A Bloomberg report states that the top leaders of the two countries have described the relationship between the two countries as better.

According to the report of Chinese state media, Xi Jinping has described Putin as his old friend. He said Putin strongly supported China in defending its core interests and opposed attempts to dismember China and Russia. Jiping has further said that I appreciate Putin for this. We are ready to launch new schemes for cooperation in many areas. Our relationship goes far beyond partnership.

This high-level conversation is taking place when US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin have had talks about the Ukraine crisis. The US has repeatedly said in recent days that Russia may attack Ukraine in January, although Russia has denied this.

According to the Kremlin, Xi Jinping has raised concerns with Putin about US activities in the Asia-Pacific region. It also includes talk of the formation of an ocus that undermines the foundations of nuclear non-proliferation in the region.

Putin has said that the need of the hour is closer coordination between Russia and China at the international level. Both the countries have to solve many global issues together. He has described Russia-China relations as a true model of interstate cooperation for the 21st century.
