Apple TV is preparing a documentary on Oprah Winfrey with Kevin Macdonald

Los Angeles (USA), 14 January. .- Apple TV + is preparing a two-part documentary on Oprah Winfrey to be directed by Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald on “One Day in September” (1999).
Deadline Portal said on Thursday that the documentary would be transformed into the history of the last 25 years of the United States through the figures of Winfrey, who became a celebrity on the television show “The Oprah Winfrey Show” (1986–2011). He interviewed celebrities and interacted with the public on current events.
A successful actress, producer, activist and entrepreneur as well as TV presenter, Winfrey was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Artist for “The Color Purple” (1985) and was the producer of “Selma” (2014) . , Nominated for Best Film.
In 2012, he received the Hollywood Academy’s Jean Hersholt Award for his humanitarian work.
This extends the collaboration between the Apple TV + documentary digital giant and Winfrey, who in 2018 signed an agreement to jointly develop television content.
On the other hand, Kevin Macdonald is a director with a solo and acclaimed career that oscillates between fiction and documentary.
In this final segment, she won the Oscar for Best Documentary for “One Day in September” and went on to have notable success with the film “Whitney” (2018) about singer Whitney Houston.
Macdonald collaborated with producer Lisa Erpsamer on this musical documentary, which would also feature in the Oprah Winfrey project.
