PIERE, SD (Kello) – A new death was reported Sunday in an update by the South Dakota Department of Health.

The death toll is now at 3943. Nov. 1. to 528 people have died. The latest death was from a 60-69-year-old man in Kingsbury County.

On Sunday, a total of 201 new coronavirus cases were reported, bringing the total number of cases in the state from Saturday (79,090) to 79,900,000. As of Saturday (61,051), the total number of cases recovered is now at 62,027.

Active cases dropped to 16,930 from Saturday (17,106).

The current hospital admissions are from Saturday (53 53 53) to 54 544. The total number of hospital admissions since Saturday (4,400) is now 4,468.

The total number of individuals tested negative is now at 247,844 from Saturday (246,277).

On Sunday there were 2,368 new individuals examined. Sunday’s new person test positivity rate.8 is 33..8 percent.

The latest 7-day all-test positive rate, reported by DOH, is 13.5%. The DOH calculates based on the results of the PCR test results but does not represent the total number of PCR tests performed each day. The DOH 1-day PCR test reported a positivity rate of 11.2%.

The “significant” community has not spread from just four counties in South Dakota.
