Donald Trump’s eldest son Eric Trump is eager to follow in his father’s footsteps. And in fact he uses the same threatening approach to business: in the wake of a parliamentary debate that could begin an investigation into the financing of his father’s resorts and golf courses in Scotland, by Eric Trump against Patrick Harvie, deputy Latra is Scottish Greens, who invited members of the government to clarify the origins of the funds for the two golf courses and the resorts hosting them. The deputy refers to a provision of British law, called the UWO, which asks a person investing in the country to clarify how those assets were seized, under penalty of confiscation.
Eric Trump, one of the executive vice presidents of the Trump Organization, came back to Congress by saying, “Patrick Harvey is nothing more than a national embarrassment with his pathetic antics that only serve himself and his political agenda.” He added that “if Harvie and the rest of the Scottish Government continue to treat foreign investors in this way, it will prevent future investors from doing business in Scotland, destroying their economy, tourism and hospitality services”.
