A French director moved his entire family to Cumbernaul after falling in love with the girl from the upcoming 1980s comedy Gregory’s Girl.
Maureen Husket, whose film career took her around the world, is a longtime fan of Bill Forsythe’s 1981 classic and moved to the city where it was filmed.
This is a real change of scenery for Maureen, who studied at the famous Sorbonne University in Paris before starting her film career.
He has now established a production company in Scotland, Firewalker Films, and runs filmmaking seminars to encourage a new generation of local filmmakers, Daily record report.

Maureen was living and working in London, when she decided to move north last year.
