Lazio: The Democratic Party's training school for the new enabling policy is underway

The training school of PD Lazio begins “For a New Informed and Enabling Policy”. Lessons will begin on Monday 31st May and will last until 31st July and then resume in autumn. So far around 450 people have registered. “But we think that we will reach more than 500 in a few days among women, men, young and old”, Bruno Astorre, the secretary of PD Lazio, specified during the press conference of the presentation, in which he said that he ” was proud”. To start this project, today more than ever it is necessary that “the ruling class be politically trained to face the challenges of the future”. The course is free, aimed at members and non-members of the Democratic Party. Lessons, lasting about one and a half hours, will be conducted electronically on the Zoom platform once a week. “Lessons will range from the EU, from regions and municipalities to budgets, from economic development and the ecological transition to digitization to communication, and more. But a moment dedicated to civil rights is also planned together with Senator Monica Sirrino,” explained Astorre, satisfied with the response he has received so far.

“There is no age limit nor is there any target for a course that aims to be completely open. And this is only the first step. We thought that the first cycle should be addressed to the class that moves to the next administration. will be formed, but also to give a view of the Pnrr which will be very important for the country’s restart of our region”, said Manuela Benedetti, Provincial Secretary of the Democratic Party of Viterbo, who served on the Committee for Local Development and Action in the OECD. Organized the training course in association with Vice President Michel Dau. “I accepted this assignment because I believe that politics should start from the bottom up. Politics and competence must go hand in hand again, for this reason it is necessary to give more robust stuff to all who want to try their hand at major administration. This is a challenge we would like to conquer”, underlined Dau, who will be one of the teachers along with Salvatore Mura (Professor of History and Contemporary History of Political Institutions at the University of Sassari); Livio Barnaba (Director, Innovation and Small Business Specialist at Progeto Europa); Gherardo Zi (Telecommunications and ICT Manager, Federmanager Vice President); Alessandro Vaccari (Press Office and Social Media Manager of Apple Servizi); Alessandro Focaracci (President of the Fastigi Foundation), Silvia Scozez (Counselor of the Court of Auditors).

For the challenges of the future, “institutions need to act with a new team spirit, with a conscious and competent vision, with a new sense of community; to develop the skills of local administrators, officials, workers present in hundreds of regional clubs.” Enhancing”, which is why, it explained, the Democratic Party of Lazio has decided to promote, organize and run an advanced training course aimed at all party actors and heroes. A curriculum, “aimed at introducing an organic framework of easily accessible, core areas, devoid of academic abstraction and providing fundamental tools for a new, more effective, initiative at all levels”.
