22 ADL E400 electric double decker buses for use in Aberdeen City

9 electric single deck ADL E200 to be used on buses 1 and 2 in Perth
The investment provides a boost for Scotland’s bus manufacturing sector, helping to protect and grow jobs. The new buses will be built in Falkirk by the world’s leading independent bus manufacturer ADL in association with BYD, the company’s partner for electric buses in the UK and Ireland.
The Scottish Government Award also includes financing of the power infrastructure for the depot. Stagecoach is partnering with Scottish low carbon energy company SSE to provide the necessary new electrical infrastructure at Aberdeen and Periyar depots.
