Over the course of four weeks, Russell Wilson was cooking an MVP season. The Seattle quarterback was completing his efforts with a league-high 75 percent league-high average of 9.4 yards and threw a league-high 16 touchdown pass. The Late Rush Cook movement lasted as long as possible.
Sunday night until the first part of the football, when the Vikings closed the kitchen. Minnesota controlled the clock with long, deliberate drives, even putting points on the board, keeping Wilson to the side on a long stretch. Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison ran for 78 yards and 19 touchdowns, while Kirk Cousins completed 15 of 21 passes for 140 yards. As a result, the Vikings won the Occupy War time from 20:16 to 9:44 in the first half, running 41 plays to 18 of the Seahawks and taking a 13-0 half-time lead.
After halftime, however, everything turned upside down. The Seahawks went three-and-a-half on the first drive and the Vikings did the same – but they saw the star run into the locker room with an injury to Dalvin Cook’s head. Cook returned to the game later, but Seahawks made three touchdowns at 1:53 (two of which came after the Kirk Cousins turnover) to erase the full halftime deficit and not even halfway through the third quarter, but to take a lead of his own.
