Shopify. On the terrace of “Cafe Augarten” the residents had not only good food, but also good entertainment. Late in the morning, the surprise was great when the arrival of the bagpiper Andreas Mühlhans could be heard from afar. Dressed in a traditional lehenga and with stories from Scotland, she impressed the celebratory guests as well with her bagpipes. Musically, the seniors were transported to an entirely different world in an afternoon with Dietmar Rotzler on keyboards, the hits sung happily, the applause palpable.

Although the party was celebrated in two groups due to the current pandemic situation, the atmosphere of the summer festival was friendly and cheerful. “It’s good to just be together and celebrate again,” said a senior citizen in conversation with Karin Racke, manager of Diaconichs Werk in the Lorach district, who gladly took the opportunity to say a few personal words other than the official one. Congratulations on transforming residents of Schärs Au. After a successful summer party with lots of chat and laughter, Schärers Au is already looking forward to a repeat next year.
