Police, firefighters, paramedics and a hill rescue team arrived at the scene around 1:10 pm.

The victim fell into the river and was taken to the hospital loaded on a stretcher.

It is estimated that around 70,000 people visit the Dale in a year, which is known for its 70-foot gorge and Devils Pulpit Rock.

It can be reached by descending a 200-year-old ladder, which leads to strange red water.

One of the historical features in the series is the St. Ninian Spring known as Outlander, Liars Spring.

It is also used in the Netflix film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and the TV drama The Nest.

Its popularity led to major problems due to the narrow roads and the possibility of erosion of the site.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: ‘We received a reported concern about a man in Finnish Glen, Stirling, on Sunday 11 April 2021 at around 1:10 pm.

“Agents are present with a hill rescue team, firefighters and ambulances.

“The public is urged to refrain from continuing the incident. “

Lomond Mountain Rescue tweeted: “Call Finich Glenn this afternoon after reports of someone falling into the river below.

“After the evaluation, the victim was wrapped and evacuated by stretcher, then handed over to the Scottish ambulance crew.”

Traffic Scotland said there were closed roads on the B834 and A809, urging motorists to avoid the area.

The site is scheduled to undergo a £ 2.7 million overhaul, including a new visitor center, car park, trail system and bridges.
