A Pacific Grove police officer has been placed on administrative leave following allegations of anti-black live mater comments posted on his social media account. City Police Chief Kathy Medalon held a press conference on Sunday, “It was brought to the attention of the Pacific Grove Police Department that an officer / employee of the Pacific Grove Police Department may have posted a vague comment against the black life movement. The police chief also said he had not confirmed whether the parlor account belonged to the officer. The officer is on administrative leave pending an independent investigation into the incident. An investigator has not yet been appointed.

This officer is the same officer who made the controversial 2020 decision Reported to the city in May attached to his vehicle “
The police chief also said he did not confirm whether the parlor account belonged to the officer.
The officer is on administrative leave pending an independent investigation into the incident.
