'Absolute trembling!' - Angry Chelsea fans react to what happened to Billy Gilmore

It didn’t take long for Billy Gilmour to return to action in the Chelsea wonder after four months out.

The midfielder is due to make his debut for the Blues this season after suffering a serious knee injury in July, which ended before his success was anticipated for the 2019/20 campaign.

With that said, Gilmore is moving in the right direction by participating in some first-team training sessions over the last month with the selection of N’Golo Cante, Georginho, Kai Hertz and Timo Werner.

And after being named in Scotland’s Under-21 squad for the November international break, the 19-year-old took another huge step to stay involved with Chelsea next week.

Croatia were visitors to Tinecastle Park on Thursday evening for the crucial UEFA U-21 European Championship clash.

Gilmore was included in the substitute when goals from Nicolo Morrow and Christian Bistrovic gave him a 2-0 half-time lead on the far side.

Glenn Middleton reduced the deficit to nine minutes into the second half and only after the hour mark did Guillaume run in an attempt to bring the young Scots back to level conditions.

However, it was Connor McLennan’s equalizer in the 90th minute to give the hosts a 2-2 draw with Gilmour’s night ending seconds later.

On his first appearance of the season, the teenager was shown a red card after facing off and possibly talking to the referee.
