College Football Scores, NCAA Top 25 Rankings, Week 2: Ehlinger of Texas, Ratler of Oklahoma wins

The Big 12 started the day with a terrific performance as Iowa State and Kansas State lost to the Sun Belt enemies at home. Both Oklahoma and Texas had easy wins, but the strength of the league will bring plenty of strength later in the day. The Sunners jumped to a 31-0 first-quarter lead over Missouri State and won 48-0, while Texas won its first offensive game 59-3 over UTEP.

Both programs have league titles behind the quarterbacks and college league football playoff aspirations that are expected to have a big season, and both have given impressive opening performances. Oklahoma’s Spencer Rattler completed a 14-of-17 pass for 291 yards, four touchdowns and no interruptions while playing just two quarters in his first start for the Sunners. Not to be outdone, Sam Ehlinger of Texas threw 429 yards and five touchdowns … in one half.

The five players who qualified for the Power Five teams’ action from the first Saturday of the College Ledge Futab were included. The day includes upsets, thrilling finishes and plenty of highlights. CBS Sports covered it all.
