Darts World Cup 2021: Michael van Gerwen continues with a gala

What a performance of force by Michael Van Gerewen! ()Darts World Cup 3 live on TV on SPORT1 at LIVEESTREAM from 15 December to 3 January And LIVETICKER)

The Dutchman went into the third round of the Darts World Cup 2021 with a solid performance. He initially won 3–1 in the set against Ryan Murray.

“The Green Machine” finished the match with a three-point average of 108.98 points – the highest ever in the tournament – and a double rate of 44 percent.

Van Gerwen can’t be stopped

MvG, which played a bad year to its standards in 2020, made a strong 3–0 start in the first set. He broke the 100-point mark in the average and left his opponent in just one attempt. After five minutes and three seconds, sentence one was already imposed.

In the second set, the world number one also topped it with 109 points per shot, but still lost it 2: 3, as Murray protested.

A checkout of 148 led to a 2–2 lead in the second set and did not help Van Geeren much. (Figures on Van Gerwen vs. Murray)

MVG increases from sentence to sentence

The third round again went to big favorites. “Mighty Mike” did not give up and gave it a 3–1 break. He averaged over 113 points in the third set.

In the fourth set, Scott again shortened himself by leveling it again with a 2: 2 break, but MVG uncontrollably hit back. In three rounds, he met either Ricky Evans or Mickey Mansell.

Briefly threw Hamilton out

In the first game of the evening session, German Nico Kurz won his opening match against Andy Hamilton. Then another woman came to the sea after Lisa Ashton. At Atandra Palace, the data headman suffered a defeat like his compatriot.

Jamaican roots Englishman Andy Bolton lost 1: 3. The 61-year-old won everything in the BDO in the women’s division except the World Women’s Championship after qualifying for the PDC World Championship for the first time.

Heta loses in mad drama for Bagish.

The third match of the evening session was tough. Secret favorite Damon Heta was 2–0 down in sets after a poor start against Danny Bagish from the United States.

The Australian then performed brilliantly and bounced back in his own way. He played a total of four high finishes.

America’s Boy was still the best ending for himself. In an incredible penalty leg – Heta led 2–1 in set five – Bagish hit double 1 with a 27th (!) Dart.

Both players had great difficulty driving the arrow in the first outer ring. “The Heat” was awarded six match darts. In the final leg, Bagish remained calm and made it to round two, where he met two-time world champion Adrian Lewis.
