Company sources said Bob Rohrmann, an auto dealer known for his humorous television commercials and the name Suburban Dealership, died peacefully with his family on Tuesday evening due to natural causes, company sources said.
Lafayette, Roh, 87, of Indiana, born in 11th to 9th in a log cabin in Lafayette, built his automobile group off the ground, starting in 1963 with the help of a used car in his hometown. Today the auto toe group has a presence in Indiana, suburban Chicago and Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Company representatives said Rohrmann started the first new car dealership with Toyota in 1970, and under his guidance Bob Rohrmann Auto Group became one of the largest private business groups in North America, with 27 new car dealerships.

A more serious aspect of his TV business personality was found in his philanthropic and charitable contributions to the community where his dealership is located.
