New big satisfaction for defender Josh Doig and Hellas Verona. The 2002-born full-back, in yellow and blue since last July, first received a call from Scottish senior national team coach Steve Clark in the wake of double UEFA Nations League matches against Ireland and Ukraine. The matches are scheduled for Saturday 24 and Tuesday 27 September respectively.

Doig has already made himself a hero in his country’s colours, having made 7 appearances with the under 21 team, 6 of them valid for qualification for the European Championships in his category.
The last date out of these 7 is tomorrow. Hours before being called up to the senior national team, the starting shirt arrived for the defender in a test match against Northern Ireland, which Scotland won 3–1.

A well-deserved recognition for the very young Doug, already a hero, with the Hellas Verona shirt – in the first half of the current season, with which he has collected 4 appearances in Serie A, the winning goal scored against Sampdoria increased from round. Day 5 of the Championship.

“Hellas Verona FC congratulates Josh Doig on this new and important milestone, wishing him the best of luck in view of upcoming international commitments” reads the note from Verona.
