From 11 June to 11 July, the European national selections will compete in the most prestigious competition from the countries of the Old Continent. In total, 24 nations are divided into six groups. Group D, made up of England, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Scotland, is one of the groups that promises interesting doubles.
Croatia, a big chicken favorite
Ranked 14th in the latest FIFA rankings, Croatia is a great football nation on the old continent. Eight finalists of Euro 2016 in France, the team led by captain Luka Modric finished second in the final edition of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. For this competition Croatia is the big favorite of not only this group but also of the competition.
England, fear team
The English national team is one of the most regular teams in Euros. 10 times out of 11 editions currently in place, it reached third place in 1968. Since then, The Three Lions have not often shone in the competition. But this version promises to be very different. The team coached by Gareth Southgate brings together talent and experience. This edition, England is the big favorite of the tournament and a team that should be intimidated in their pool.
Czech Republic and Scotland, group of little thumbs
After participating in the European Championship 7 times, the Czech Republic was a finalist in 1996. As far as the Scottish team’s fourth participation would go, it never reached a better level. The two teams found in Group D do not start favorites, but can be outsiders and put the group leaders in trouble.
