European Tour: Very busy calendar in 2021

European Tour : un calendrier très chargé en 2021

The European Tour has formalized the calendar for its 2021 season. It would theoretically involve a three-wheeler of 42 tournaments held in 24 countries. To limit and facilitate travel, competitions are classified by geographic regions. Due to the uncertainties associated with the health crisis, this program is clearly subject to change. As a reminder, in 2020, 18 tournaments had to be canceled or postponed.

Practice 2021 will take place in Abu Dhabi on 21 January. The players will then stay in the Middle East with tournaments in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar. The first meeting in Europe is scheduled for the Tenerife Open in April. Canceled last year, the British Open is scheduled from 15 July to 18 July, still at a link to Royal St George near Dover. Four Rolex series, each with $ 8 million in prize money, are on the menu. They will be played at the DP World Championships in Abu Dhabi, Scotland, Wentworth and Dubai. The French Open, on the other hand, has temporarily disappeared from the calendar. Like last year, Belgium will not host any events on the European tour. As a reminder, the Tokyo Olympic tournament (29 July to 1 August) and the Ryder Cup (24 to 26 September) are also on the menu for this vintage.

Due to lack of readability, it is not known at what time the public will be allowed to participate in all these events. Until the next notice, tournaments are being played, in any case, behind closed doors with the only television cameras as witnesses!
