First date viewers couldn’t help but fall in love with 60-year-old Meryl after she remembered the heart disease of losing her husband.

Merrill, rarely, has been single for 11 years, and turned to the Channel 4 show to find love again – and after meeting Andrew 60 years later, she thinks she might come.

Before his date, Merle explained to the camera that he was looking for a ‘tubby’ man who was ‘bald’.

Despite insulting Rewandru during the meal by saying he felt like pudding, the couple burned like a burning house.

As they talked about their lives and past relationships, Merle told Andrew how she lost her husband Tom.

“I met Tom, he died 13 years ago,” he said.

He said he was going to the five sides and then I got Tom saying “Tom doesn’t look very good”.

Then, speaking to the camera, the frail Merrill Tom had a heart attack and was fed up with the details of how he died tragically.

As she shed tears again, Merrill remembered how she had slept with him after he died and she didn’t want to leave him there.

She added: ‘I’m leaving him and he’s cold and he hates being cold, I just have to go back and hug one more. It was just special, so special. ‘

Going on social media after Meryl and Andrew’s date, viewers could not only help but fall in love with the couple.

One viewer tweeted: ‘It’s not bad that Merrill and Andrew are going on another date 2020. They deserve that couple in the world. ‘

While another said: ‘I need an update on Marel and Andrew now.’

One added: ‘I hope Merrill and Andrew go out babbling!’

The first dates return to Channel 4 at 10pm next Thursday.
