If some of our Guyana footballers are playing in Europe, preparations are on with their club, for others the first day of the 2021-2022 season has already been played. This is especially the case in Ligue 2 for Donovan Lyon and AJ Auxerre, who have chased 3 games without a loss since 24 July (2 wins and a draw). The Guyana goalkeeper has scored just one goal in 260 minutes this season. The next meeting is on Monday 16 August against Paris FC.

The National 2 Championship (4th French Division) resumed on 7 August at the same time as Ligue 1. So last weekend was an opportunity for the former Guyana selection coach and now coach of FC Chamlieres to make his first move into the National 2 with a draw against Les Herbiers (1-1). The next match will be against Team 2 of Montpellier this weekend. Loïc Baal also made his debut with the Puy Foot 43 team and won 1–0 against US Colomiers, a club coached by Guyanese Patrice Maurel. For his part, Cayenne Bonnevi with OL Team 2 won 1–0 against Monaco Team 2. His future at the Celtics remains uncertain, but the Guyana striker appears to have left for a new season in Scotland, with a one-year contract left and could therefore be released at the end of the season.
Megan’s first move to AC Milan
The Nice finished their preparations with a gala match against AC Milan just two weeks ago. Match in which Mike Megan made his first friendly with AC Milan. The goalkeeper kept his clean sheet until his replacement in the second period. Final score 1-1 between OGC Nice and AC Milan (July 31). During a new friendly against Real Madrid the following weekend, the Cayenne goalkeeper stood out after stopping a penalty from Gareth Bale in the second half.
