Germany meets Romania, Iceland in Group J

The German national team got a good draw for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

National coach Joachim Löw’s team will take on qualifying J from Romania, Iceland, North Macedonia, Armenia and Liechtenstein. That was the result of a draw in Zurich on Monday. (World Cup 2018 results)

Only the group winners qualify directly for the World Cup, but it should be possible for the German team in their group. The qualifiers will be played between March and November 2021.

All in a possible group for the German team. Of course Romania, Iceland and Northern Macedonia are not to be underestimated, but there is no opponent against whom Germany is not a big favorite.

The Dutch group is comparatively more obnoxious with many opponents who are difficult to play. On the other hand, Group F is very similar with Denmark and Austria.
