Glengoy reopens from April 5, tastings from May 17 (with gallery)

Are there any better times soon for Scottish friends and whiskey connoisseurs? Scotland’s southernmost Highland distillery, Glengoyneannounces that the distillery can reopen to visitors from Monday 5 April 2021, in line with current Scottish Government guidelines:

We are very pleased to announce that Glengoy Distillery Shop will reopen from Monday 5 April following the latest announcement from the Scottish Government.

It will take a little longer, until May 17, before the tasting and master classes are held again:

The distillery’s great tasting experiences and the Malt Master will resume on May 17th.

Other, if not all, distilleries will surely follow these early steps – and who knows, maybe something like a certain normality will return in late spring or summer? Then the number of cases of the pandemic would only have to be reduced enough that travel restrictions could be lifted again…

And so that the anticipation is fed a bit, here’s a gallery with some photos from in and around Glengoyne…
