How to suit Ash’s Pikachu in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Ash’s Picchu is now available in Pokemon Sword and Shield, but not for very long. Here’s how to claim it for your own save file.

Earlier today, the Pokemon company released a look at what lies ahead for the Pokemon Sword and Shield. While the game’s second expansion is a compelling piece of news, it was easy to overlook the other big thing hidden in all those compelling revelations. Ash’s Picchu is now available for Pokemon Sword and Shield.

How to suit Ash’s Pikachu in Pokemon Sword and Shield

As part of the celebrations of the upcoming Crown Tundra DLC, Pokemon Sword and Shield owners can now sue Ash’s Picchu for a copy of their game. This Pikachu is wearing the signature hat of anime protagonist Ash Ketchum. But which cap? Ah, yes, more than one hat game in Ash Pokemon anime, but you’ll be able to choose both.

To claim your Ash Picchu, you’ll want to jump into the Mystery Gift option on the Pokemon Sword and Shield break menu. Here are the steps taken Pokemon Website:

  1. Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
  2. Choose to receive a secret gift.
  3. Select Get with Code / Password to connect to the Internet.
  4. Enter your password. (Use P1QAGT for Ash’s original cap Pikachu and 1CH00SEY0U for Ash’s partner cap Pikachu)
  5. See when gifts come into your game. Check your Pokemon boxes.
  6. Save your game.

While Ash’s Pikacha is being celebrated as a celebration of the next DLC of the Sword and Shield, you don’t need to elaborate on her claim. It’s free for all players. There are a few warnings to be aware of. Ash’s picchu can’t grow in Raichu, so what you see is what you get and what you keep. More importantly, this is a limited time offer. Ash’s Picchu will now only be available until November 30, 2020 at 6:59 AM PT.

Oz has been playing video games since making his first NES controller at the age of Zz. He has been in sports ever since, only going away briefly during his college years. But they withdrew after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, largely spending time helping the Guitar Hero series move to its peak. Ozzy has become a big fan of platforms, puzzle games, shooters and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s a big sucker for anything with a good, compelling story behind it. Because if you can’t enjoy a good story with fresh cherry coke then what are video games?
