Ireland and France fail, England celebrates

Munich – “Super Saturday” kept the promise, with a lot of tension and a lot of drama at the end. And with England as the winner of the upper-class Six Nations tournament.

The English concluded the tournament with 34: 5 at the bottom of Italy. He then celebrated the overall victory on TV. Their own win was enough, as both Ireland and France did not take a chance in a direct duel at the end of “Super Saturday”.

France won the duel with Ireland in 35:27 and placed the tournament in second place. France would need a win with an extra point and a lead of over 30 points for a truly big win, but in the end they were far from it.

Ireland needed an easy win by at least six points, the defeat pushed the Irish into third place. They missed the overall win mainly due to a weak second half.

Scotland wins

At the start of “Super Saturday”, Scotland won 14:10 against Wales and thus celebrated their third tournament win.

The Scots finished in fourth place, ahead of Wales and Italy.
