Researchers have developed a mobile application called Tracking Advisor Tracking Advisor. It collects users’ location information. The application retrieves users’ private data through data from locations. It also seeks feedback on the veracity of this information. Users often allow data usage when purchasing an app or service. Users are not aware that sensitive personal information can be leaked to companies. The risk is particularly high for location tracking, Micro Mussolini said.

Through the Mobile App Tracking Advisor, researchers showed how companies can access users’ private sensitive information. Location tracking provides information about where the user lives, what are his habits, what are his hobbies, what are his preferences, what is his nature, what places he visits. The researchers included 69 users in this study. They were monitored for about 2 weeks through the Tracking Advisor app.
