Panasonic has launched a new lens in India at Rs 59,990

New Delhi, November 4 (INS): Panasonic on Tuesday unveiled a new large-hole medium telephoto fixed focal length lens in India at Rs 59,990 to help photographers enhance portrait photography with its bokh effect.

Based on the L-Mount system for the Lumix S Series full-frame mirrorless camera, Panasonic will release four F1.8 large-hole lenses as previously announced, and this is the first of the 85mm F1.8A.

The new S85mm F1.8 Focus Peak offers a smooth defocus gradation in the neighborhood of the image as well as a smooth, round bokeh of point light source without vignetting, the company said in a statement.

It also claims to excel in video recording performance with a focus-suppressing mechanism, which was the fatal problem of all interchangeable lenses designed for static image photography.

The lens has a hard dust as well as splash-resistant design to withstand harsh conditions.

In addition to the four F1.8 large-aperture lenses, the company said it is also working on a 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens to further enhance the Lumix S series lens lineup.

“The Panasonic and L-Mount system connection is committed to the development of L-mount lenses for further expansion of its lineup to meet the needs of customers,” he added.
