PR: 16-year-old Glenkinchy single cask for My Name’5 Dodgy Foundation

In today’s press release, we introduce Diego Introducing a new single cask bottling from Lowland Distillery Glenkinchy. This barrel was picked up earlier this year by a Scottish rugby legend dodi veer Out of. From 1990–2000 Weir made 61 appearances for the Scotland national rugby union team. In June 2017, he announced that he had been diagnosed with motor neuron disease. in whose name My Name’5 Dodgy Foundation Raises funds for research to cure this disease. Diageo is donating a cask selected by Dodi Veer, with all proceeds from the sale of 378 bottles going to the My Name’5 Dodi Foundation.

Dodgy Wear is raising funds with unique single malt

Rugby legend and motivational motor neuron disease campaigner Dodi Weir has taken delivery of a rare consignment of Scotch whiskey to raise funds for his My Name’5 Dodi Foundation.

The cask of 16-year-old Glenkinchy single malt whiskey was donated by major whiskey company Diageo, with a total of 378 bottles bottled and specially labeled to support Dodi’s fundraising for research into the treatment of MND Was.

Dodi visited Glenkinchy Distillery in East Lothian earlier this year to sample whiskey and personally select casks, and now he’s got his first batch of bottles at his home in the Scottish Borders.

The single malt will be used by the Foundation in a variety of fundraising activities, including auctions, raffles and prize giving, with each penny going to the My Name’5 Dodgy Foundation.

Receiving the bottles, Dodi said:

“It’s so exciting to see the cask I chose earlier this year, which is now packaged in these beautiful bottles containing my foundation tartan.

“Whiskey is a great addition to our fundraising efforts and I am sure it will generate a lot of money to support the search for a cure for MND.

“This is a gorgeous, smooth and silky single malt and I know people are going to love it. It is a pleasure to work with the folks at Diageo and Glenkinchy and I will be sharing a play with them again soon keen for.”

Evan Andrew, Diageo President of Global Supply Chain and Procurement, who pledged the cask earlier this year when Dodi visited Diageo’s Scottish corporate headquarters in Edinburgh Park, said:

Glenkinchy Distillery Manager, Ramsay Borthwick, who helped Dodi choose the cask at the distillery earlier this year, said:
