ProSieben MAXX and ran.de. Live on

Unterföhring – Following the huge success of live broadcasts from the Rugby World Cup 2019, ProSieben MAXX and ran.de are showing even more top-class rugby games this year. The TV broadcaster – in collaboration with DAZN – will broadcast all the games of the informal European Rugby Championship “Six Nations” from February 1, 2020. ran.de also shows all the men’s tournaments of the “World Rugby Sevens Series”.

France, Scotland, England, Italy and Ireland want to push defending champions and record winners Wales from the European rugby throne in the famous “Six Nations” tournament. The games are commented on and categorized by certified rugby World Cup trio Jan Ludke (commentator) and Manuel Wilhelm and Simon Jung (expert).

Five weekends with “Six Nations”

In “Six Nations” all teams play against each other once. Whoever tops the table after all the duel wins the tournament.

From February 1, 2020, ProSieben MAXX and ran.de will broadcast two games on Saturdays from 3pm and one game on Sundays from 3:55 pm. On Saturday, March 14, 2020, the day of the final match, all teams will compete in their final doubles one after another – live from 3:00 pm.

Eight tournaments with the “World Rugby Sevens Series”

There are 16 teams participating in the tournament format, with the top countries being Australia, England, New Zealand, Wales and South Africa.

The competition starts at the group stage. This will be followed by a quarter-final, semi-final and knockout round with finals. It is the fastest, Olympic version of Rugby Union with only 7 players per team and 2×7 minutes of playing time per game.
