Qualcomm has announced the successor to its Snapdragon 675 – Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 for mid-range smartphones. It brings enhanced photography and videography, an entertaining experience and a long battery life on reliable connectivity.

Its camera features are powered by Qualcomm Spectra 250L ISP. It brings portrait mode (Bokeh), low-light capture, laser autofocus and HD 4K video with recording features like slow-mo recording, 5x ical optical zoom and portrait mode. The chipset supports phones up to a 48-megapixel main and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
For gaming, the Snapdragon 678 processor has been optimized for Unity, Messiah, NeoX and Unreal Engine 4, etc., it is also said to provide fast provide access to popular apps and content.
Further, it supports 8G RAM at 1866 MHz, video playback up to 4K with HVVC, AVC codec support, audio dio playback up to 4W and Quick Charge ™ 4+ technology .G.
The Snapdragon X12 LTE modem pushes fast upload and download speeds. It supports advanced carrier integration with downloads up to 600 Mbps and uploads up to 150 Mbps.
