Samsung is forced to postpone release of new smartphone due to lack of processor

Samsung вынуждена приостановить выпуск новых смартфонов из-за нехватки процессоров

In 2020, the term “deficit” has sparkled with new colors. In 2021, all companies still continue to fight it as the main result of the epidemic. For example, Samsung is unable to arrange shipment of new Galaxy A series smartphones due to lack of mobile processors.

We are talking about four middle class models, which were announced in mid-March this year. These are the Samsung Galaxy A72, Galaxy A52 and its modifications with support for fifth generation mobile networks. The 4G versions are powered by the Snapdragon 720G single-chip system, and the 5G version of the smaller model received the Snapdragon 750G.

Samsung has been unable to ensure a steady supply of smartphones due to the lack of both mobile processors. The shortage of single-chip systems will surely continue until later this year. Dell and Intel say the losses may persist for several years.

Remember that in Ukraine, versions without 5G are officially sold. The Samsung Galaxy A72 is equipped with a main camera with 64 MP + 12 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP, 5000 mAh battery and 6.7 inch display. In the Galaxy A52, the screen diagonal is reduced to 6.5 inches, battery capacity is up to 4500 mAh, and instead of the 8-megapixel telephoto lens, a 5-megapixel sensor is used. Optical stabilization is also missing.

The Samsung Galaxy A52 in our official retail is priced at 9999 hryvnia or 11999 hryvnia, depending on the modification, two of which are – 4/128 GB and 8/256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy A72 has been introduced in a similar configuration. In many stores, the smartphone is available for a special offer for UAH 11,999 and UAH 13,999 respectively.
