He played 67 matches for the KAC in the domestic league, then traveled to Lusenau via Denmark and England. Now Mark Hurtubis ended his career.
The Canadian from Montreal began his European career in Scotland in 2008, which then took him to Sweden, where he worked for five years, interrupted by a short trip to Finland.
In 2015 his route took him to Switzerland and the same year to DEL with Krefeld Penguin. The striker then came on the radar on the KAC, signing him for the 2016/17 season.
In 67 appearances for the Red Jackets, Hurtubis had 14 hits and 14 assists, but it was not enough for another engagement.
So he came back to the island and was hired by the Nottingham Panthers. After just one season, however, he returned to Austria: for Lustenau, he collected 41 points from 31 matches in the AlpsHL season.
In the current season he played in Bordeaux in the French League and came away with ten scoreless points in 16 missions. But now the club has announced the end of a 36-year career.
