According to a new Bloomberg report, Apple is developing a new version of the iPad Pro that supports wireless charging. To be able to support this technology, Apple would have to change the aluminum back of the existing iPad Pro to use a glass back.
Apple is also testing a magnetic charging system for the iPad Pro, similar to the new MagSafe charger it launched with the iPhone 12 last year. This is the brand new iPad mini, which has been redesigned by removing the physical home button. It is unclear whether Apple will replace the Touch ID sensor on the Home button with Face ID like on the iPad Pro, or change the Touch ID position to the Power button, like on the iPad Air.
