Toyota's new all-electric crossover will debut in late April

Toyota has announced that it will showcase its mid-range 100% electric SUV at the upcoming Shanghai International Motor Show.

Toyota first announced the existence of such models at the Kenski program in Europe. The SUV will be built on Toyota’s new E-TNGA platform, which is very versatile and easily suited to a wide variety of cars.

The basic principle of e-TNGA architecture is based on the fact that the core elements remain the same, while the others are different. This approach allows for variations in car width, length, wheelbase, and height.

The E-TNGA platform is capable of providing front, rear or all-wheel drive as well as installation of batteries and electric motors to suit a wide variety of cars and user profiles.

The versatility and flexibility of e-TNGA technology allows Toyota to design and build cars that are not only 100% electric, but also exciting to drive and look great.

The Shanghai International Motor Show will take place from 21 to 28 April this year, and will be available for press on 19 and 20 April.
