Tyler Peddle de passage à Drummondville

The game was played on June 25 by the Drummondville Voltigers leading 16-year-old Nova Scotian, Tyler Pedal. Hockey players were visiting the Center Marcel-Dion this week to explore the atmosphere of their new team.

First choice (2 .)I Overall) never hid that he was considering the possibility of continuing his career in the United States, but nevertheless took the time to meet with the Voltiggers’ hockey staff.

“It’s an unrealistic feeling! I’ve always dreamed of joining the QMJHL. Drummondville is a great organization that depends on good management.

Nothing is decided yet for next season, but the door remains open”, expressed the English-speaking young man on the QMJHL’s YouTube channel at the time of the draft.

With his family, he traveled from Antigonish, Nova Scotia to Drummondville.

“Today is a chance to be here. I visited the arena, the locker room. There is a great hockey culture here, the city is beautiful and I love the atmosphere here. Would love to be here,” Pedal told L’Express.

The 6-foot, 175-pound forward had 46 points, including 31 goals, in 47 games last year with the Shattuck Saint-Marie school team in the United States. “I identify with Nathan McKinnon and Austin Matthews. I have been playing center all my life, but I have also been playing kites. I can do both positions,” he explained.

Satisfied with his visit, the principal concerned had nothing to announce for the time being. “I haven’t made a decision yet. Not today at least, but certainly soon,” concluded Pedal.

The 6-foot, 195-pound left-handed defenseman plays with the varsity U18 from Rothesay Netherwood School, near St. John’s, New Brunswick. Rotondi scored 1 goal in 11 games in addition to adding 6 assists for 7 points.

“Matteo Rotondi is a tall, thick defender who has excellent maneuverability. He is very dynamic in possession of the puck and it is very difficult to play against him in his field. Which makes him a very complete defender both offensively and defensively,” said Jean-Sebastien Peron, head recruiter.
